    1. 5000 for a billion people country..? I think Google can avoid such mad rush for the product in US, if it announces the sameday-same price launch in India. 70% of the orders on the US play stores are somehow eventually reaching India 🙂

  1. God, I really hope Google considers bringing out a Nexus Lite or something for under $200 (12K) with the same 18 months of guaranteed updates. Can’t afford a 30K cell phone for crying out loud 🙁

It will still be more expensive than what I can afford, but that will compell the other mainstream OEM’s like SS, LG, Sony, HTC etc. to launch better priced models at the lower end 🙂

    1. Moto G should be your choice then but you have to wait for it until January when it launches in India 🙂

      1. But Motorola doesn’t do business in India! In any case, it’s priced at ~150 pounds in the UK unlocked. That’s well over 16K. Well out of my budget 🙁

      2. Motorola launched it today and told that it will launch in Asian markets in early January and price in the us is $179 for 8Gb and $199 for 16gb but in India we can expect a price of around 15-16k.

    2. Most telecom carriers are nowadays offering newly released cellphones on contract basis in India. Hope you get to see the nexus 5 on that list for dirt cheap rates.
I mean, if the iPhone 5c/s is available on reliance for 24 months @ 3k (All inclusive; data, sms, calling), I’m sure Google has their plans, hence the release delay. Fings Crossed!! 🙂

  2. same way u have last week exclusive news which told us nexus 7 definitely and nexus 5 might launch on 12 nov…its 14nov now.. btw any news for nexus 7 2013

      1. I have confirmation from a brick and mortar store that it will be available from monday onwards

    1. North America (D820) Nexus 5 model:
      GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
      CDMA: Band Class: 0/1/10
      WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/6/8/19
      LTE: Bands: 1/2/4/5/17/19/25/26/41

Outside North America (D821) Nexus 5 model:
      GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
      WCDMA: Bands: 1/2/4/5/6/8
      LTE: Bands: 1/3/5/7/8/20

      1. okay thank you!…so the Processor, GPU and other components of the phone’s hardware are same for both D820 and D821 models right?

      2. absolutely…..the only difference is in the supported bands…
which shouldn’t be much of a trouble in india at all, since all GSM networks are covered. And LTE is not as active as yet.

  3. Is there any way of getting a text or email notification when the device is available to order on Google Play Store India? I am afraid it will quickly run out of stock just like it happened in the US.

    1. This is going to be proper black marketing. All these commercial sites
like Infibeam, Snapdeal, Flipkart, etc will fully buy out the product
from Google Play and sell at higher costs as already indicated in their
      marked up prices for pre-order.

  4. This is going to be proper black marketing. All these commercial sites like Infibeam, Snapdeal, Flipkart, etc will fully buy out the product from Google Play and sell at higher costs as already indicated in their marked up prices for pre-order. Isn’t there any way to stop this nemesis?

  5. Thank you soooo much for the EXCLUSSIVE BULLSHIT. I have spent the past few days(since this post) unable to get proper rest, or get anything done so that I wound not miss my chance to get a Nexus 5. How well sourced you are is quite apparent.
