While we continue to wait for the actual launch of Moto X smartphone, the phone has been spotted once again. An image of Moto X showing its back was posted on the Chinese Twitter clone Weibo today.
As you can see in this image shows the plastic rear of the phone. In terms of the specifics, you can notice the speaker grill, Motorola logo, the rear camera, and LED flash in the picture. 3.5 mm audio jack and the secondary mic can also be seen.
The plastic seems to feature matte coating, which if also present in the final build would help in preventing fingerprint smudges.
August 23: Leaked launch date on Verizon US
In related news, an alleged Verizon internal memo made its way to the internet and has revealed that Verizon might launch Moto X on August 23. If this memo is indeed authentic, this certainly gives us an idea of when to expect the phone. Even though, it is not released on all US telecom operator the same (which although is possible), there wouldn’t be much gap in the release dates on other telcos.
Bonus: This Verizon memo also notes that HTC One might be launched on August 1 on Big Red in United States.
