ZTE has announced the debut of ZTE Geek, a new mid-range Android phone from the company at Intel Developer Forum (IDF) Spring 2013. The phone is powered by Intel’s Clover Trail+ Atom processor, which was last seen in Lenovo K900.
The company has not revealed the availability or pricing details at the moment, which are likely to be announced on a later date. ZTE Geek runs on Android Jelly Bean, the exact version of Android is not clear right now.
To be exact, the phone is powered by Atom Z2580 processor. It also comes with 5-inch 720p HD display. In addition, ZTE has included 1GB of RAM and 8GB of on-board storage on the phone.
ZTE Geek also features 8MP rear camera and 1MP front camera. The phone sports a 2300 mAh battery.
“Our recent collaboration with Intel on the ZTE GEEK builds off of the success of the Grand Series and further enhances our competitiveness in the high-end smartphone market,” said ZTE EVP and Head of the Mobile Devices Division Mr. He Shiyou. “This partnership also will improve customer experiences by providing them with more choices in the market.”
