Is HTC really building a Facebook phone? Latest leak reveals alleged specs

No, most probably not, but every once a while, a new report comes in, suggesting that HTC is indeed working on something close to a Facebook phone.  Now, evleaks has come out with the latest bit of information that builds upon previous leaks and rumours, one from another Twitter user HTC_facebook

According to evleaks, the Facebook phone, which is codenamed ‘HTC Myst’, will be coming with 1.5GHz dual-core MSM8960 SoC, 4.3-inch 720p display, Android 4.1.2, 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage without any microSD card slot. The phone will also pack 5MP rear camera, 1.6MP front camera, LTE, and HSPA+ connectivity.

There is still no word on when exactly can we see this elusive HTC made Facebook phone. Are we really going to see this? We will only believe when we actually see it. Till then, it is nothing more than a Unicorn.

To remind you, we have seen two Facebook phones (kind of) from HTC so far – HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa, both the phone were running on Android and came with dedicated Facebook buttons as well several software customisation to make it easier to share stuff to Facebook and more. The phones were released in various markets across the world, but never saw much uptake, even HTC dumped them and never released a major software update for them.
