Korean manufacturer couldn’t wait until Mobile World Congress and has officially announced the next generation of Optimus L-series earlier today. Featuring a refined look and upgraded specs, the L-series II models include Optimus L3 II, L5 II and L7 II. Company will also be dual-SIM versions of each smartphone in the series.
“LG has a history of pushing the envelope when it comes to style and Optimus L Series II builds on this heritage of design innovation,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
According to LG, Optimus L7 II dual will be the first one to go on sale in Russia this week. The smartphone packs a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8225 processor, 4.3-inch WVGA IPS display, 768MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. L 7 II will also come with 8MP rear camera, VGA front camera, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and 2460 mAh battery. The smartphone along with other smartphones in L-series II will also come pre-loaded with software features like QSlide, QuickTranslator, QuickMemo, Quick Button and Safety Care.
LG also added that L3 II will come with 3.2-inch QVGA IPS display and 1540 mAh battery. On the other hand, L5 II will feature a 4-inch WVGA display and 1700 mAh battery. Other details about these smartphones will be announced on a later date.
The Korean manufacturer noted in a press release that the company has sold 10 million L-series smartphones in just 10 months of launch.
