HTC One launched; packs 4.7-inch 1080p display, Ultrapixel camera

As expected, HTC has officially launched HTC One smartphone just now at a press event. The smartphone will be available in over 80 countries beginning March on around 185 telecom operators. The features of the phone are in line with what are have seen in the leaks past few weeks.

To repeat them, HTC One runs on Android 4.1.2, Sense 5.0, 4.7-inch Super LCD 3 display, and 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor. Codenamed M7, HTC One also comes with 2GB RAM, 2300 mAh battery, NFC, 32GB/64GB of internal storage, and 4 megapixel camera with HTC Ultrapixel technology.

Company plans to sell it in both HSPA and LTE variants across the markets depending on the network availability. HTC One will be available in silver and black colour

“A new, exciting approach to the smartphone is needed and with the new HTC One, we have re-imagined the mobile experience from the ground up to reflect this new reality,” said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation.

Moving beyond the raw specifications, HTC One features a zero-gap aluminium unibody design, brand new Sense version with new additions like HTC BlinkFeed, HTC Zoe, HTC Sense TV and HTC BoomSound.  As we stated before, HTC One packs an Ultrapixel camera.  It is a custom camera, which comes with f/2.0 aperture lens and a new sensor technology that allows sensor to gather 300 percent more light than traditional smartphone camera sensors. The HTC One cameras also support multi-axis optical image stabilisation.
