Idea Cellular launches dual-SIM ‘Ivory’ for INR 7,390

IVORY_ideaTelecom operator Idea Cellular has announced the launch of a new Android smartphone in India today. Priced at INR 7,390, Idea Ivory is powered by a 1GHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Idea Cellular Ivory also features dual-SIM connectivity, 3G support, 3.5-inch display, 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal storage, 3.2MP rear camera and microSD card slot.  The smartphone will be available in both black and white colours.

It is the fifth Android smartphone from the telecom operator and it claims to have sold more than 2.25 lakh devices in the Indian market till now.

“Devices play an important role in enhancing service experience for the user, and has been a key component of Idea’s 3G growth strategy. Idea Ivory, based on the latest Android 4.0 OS, and all other previous 3G smartphones, have been affordably priced to propagate data usage amongst mass consumers,” said Rajat Mukarji, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Idea Cellular.

Ivory will be available via Idea Cellular stores as well as other major mobile retail stores in the country.

Data offers: Idea Ivory comes with 1 GB of free data every month for first 3 months and free Idea TV for just Rs. 261.
