iBall, HCL launch Android tablets in India
iBall and HCL have announced the launch of two new Android tablets in the country. While the iBall’s Slide i6516 is meant for normal consumers, HCL’s MyEduWorld is targeted to students. Both the tablets are now available in India.
Talking about iBall Slide i6516 first, this INR 7,990 tablet features 7-inch IPS HD display (no word on the exact resolution), Android 4.0, 1GB RAM, 1.2GHz processor, 2MP rear camera, VGA front camera, and 4,000 mAh battery.
The tablet also comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, HDMI port, Bluetooth, USB and 3G connectivity via dongle.
“The Slide has been our proud entry into the tablet market, but we must keep innovating and introduce variants of it for all users. This one’s got a good mix of must-have features and unique ones. We expect iBall Slide i6516 will be liked by all who are looking for performance and the best features and benefits,” said Sandeep Parasrampuria, Director, iBall.
On the other hand, details about HCL’s MyEduWorld tablets are scarce. The confusing press release from the company does not event mention the product specs, however it does reveal the pricing to be INR 9,999.
