Fujitsu enters Indian smartphone market, launches Fujitsu F-074 with Tata Docomo
Japanese manufacturer Fujitsu has entered the Indian smartphone market on Wednesday with the launch of Fujitsu F-074 in partnership with telecom operator Tata Docomo.
Originally launched in Japan last year, it is a pretty old phone. Fujitsu F-074 comes with 4.0-inch WVGA AMOLED display, 1.4 GHz Snapdragon processor, Android 4.0, and 5MP rear camera. The smartphone is water-proof and comes with scratch resistant display.
It also features 1400 mAh battery, 512MB RAM, 1GB of internal storage, and the usual connectivity options.
The smartphone has been priced at INR 21,900 and will be initially available to Tata DOCOMO customers across its brand stores in Bangalore.
“It is our great pleasure to introduce Fujitsu’s first smartphone in India in cooperation with Tata Teleservices and NTT DOCOMO. We hope our phones will add new value to TTL and its customers, as we offer our smartphone in India for the first time,” said Nobuo Otani, Corporate Senior Vice President and President Ubiquitous Products Business, Fujitsu Ltd.
According to Fujitsu, the smartphone comes with the Motion Conscious Audio system which checks the environment and modulates the incoming voice to give you clear voice quality.
The F-074 smartphone buyers will unlimited 3G data for 3 months (capped at 1 GB), unlimited local and STD calls on any network and a free premium number for life, if they opt for the unlimited 899 GSM Postpaid plan on their Fujitsu smartphone. For Tata DOCOMO customers who opt for any other postpaid GSM plan, they can avail of a free premium number for life and 1 GB 3G data for 3 months.
Prepaid customers buying new Fujitsu smartphone can recharge with FRC 250 and get 1 GB data every month for 2 months.
