box-androidA lot of popular Android apps got major updates in the last few 24 hours. Here is a round-up of which new features can you expect from these apps:

Facebook (version 1.9.12): change-log:

  • Share option on News Feed stories
  • Ability to create an album from the Photos tab on Timeline
  • Improvements to photo tagging
  • Fix for status update failure affecting some users

Twitter (version 3.5): change-log:

  • Tweets show photo, video, and article previews so you can engage easily get a new perspective when you search.
  • Photo streams show what’s happening
  • Tap and touch streamlined complete redesign
  • Results also show media previews
  • Reset your password in a few simple steps
  • Other improvements and fixes.

Hootsuite (version 2.0):  Change-log

  • Added Action Bar + Drawer navigation
  • Added AutoSchedule feature
  • Improved support for 24 hour time formats
  • Search is now in Drawer menu
  • Added Traditional Chinese & Simplified Chinese
  • Fixed various UI issues
  • Fixed various crashes
  • Fixed 4.2 compatibility
  • Improved speed and memory performance

Astro File Manager (version 4.1.446) change-log:

  • Integration with SkyDrive (Google Drive & Dropbox are already integrated)
  • Added ASTRO Image Viewer into v4 with enhancements including rotate picture
  • Added Text Editor into v4
  • Expect integration shortly
    – Side swipe right to get to Clouds, Network Locations or Saved Searches fast
    – Search files by type regardless of location

Box (version 2.0.0) change-log

  • Previews of documents are now rendered right in the app so you can see your files without opening them!
  • Ability to download and save whole folders for offline use (store in encrypted cache)
  • Brand new transfer manager
  • App handles shared link URLs
  • File and folder descriptions are now viewable and editable
