XOLO X900 gets price-cut, now retailing for INR 17,500

Lava and world’s first Intel powered Android smartphone has got a price-cut in India. XOLO X900, which was until retailing for INR 21,999, is now down to INR 17,500.

Lava XOLO X900 features 4.03-inch 1024X600p display, 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, NFC, and 1.6GHz Atom Z2460 processor.

X900 went on sale in the country in April with Gingerbread and company had promised to deliver the Android 4.0 update, but that is yet to happen.  In a world where we are already talking about a newer version of Jelly Bean coming in a month, a phone that runs on Gingerbread is just shame.

XOLO X900 has got decent reviews at the launch, but software has always been a big problem for the phone, and we are yet to see its full potential.

Intel has already started launching devices powered by its second-generation smartphone chips, Motorola RAZR i being the first one.

Coming back to the price-cut, Lava is also offering Jabra BT-2045 Bluetooth headset worth Rs 1,499 with every purchase of the XOLO X900.

You can now grab the XOLO X900 at INR 17,500 from Flipkart or nCarry.

    1. This should have been the price at launch ! there’s nothing else that offers 1.6Ghz, 4-in screen with 1024×600 resolution, gorilla glass, 1Gig RAM, 16Gig on-board storage, HDMI-out, NFC, video calling etc. at this price.

UI is standard Android Gingerbread (v2.3.7), so not specific to this phone, if you like android, you’ll like the UI on this phone. It does not have any vendor specific ‘skin’ which is an advantage in my opinion.
