Asus to roll out Jelly Bean for Transformer Prime, Transformer Pad Infinity

Asus has announced that it is ready to roll out the Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean update for Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700) and Transformer Pad Prime (TF201) tablets. The update, which is dubbed as version will land in Canada and United States within the next 72 hours, company posted on XDA developers. Other countries should also get it soon.

Company has also revealed the full changelog of the update:

  • Upgrade OS from Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)
  • Default enabled System Bar Lock
  • Add Multiple Photo Selection feature
  • Support Connect Dock (Accessory)
  • Remove Adobe Flash support
  • Remove Wi-Fi Direct function support
  • Remove Press Reader (PressReader is still available and downloadable for free from Google Play)

According to Asus, Jelly Bean update will begin rolling out in the US on September 27th, 2012 for the TF201 and on September 28th, 2012 for the TF700.

Asus has already earlier announced the same update in Sweden couple of days ago.

Jelly Bean update for TF700 and TF201 comes weeks after the company started offering an Android 4.1 for the Transformer Pad TF300 tablet.
