Sony to start ICS update roll-out for Xperia mini, pro, active & ray

Just a week after the beginning of Ice Cream Sandwich update roll-out for Xperia P, Sony has now announced that it will release Android 4.0 update for more phones this week.  As usual the release will be dependent on user’s country and telecom operator (if locked).

Company is also releasing an improved version of ICS update for phones like arc that have already release ICS. This update will include bug fixes, performance tweaks and other improvements.

If your phone is one of the following then your device is getting an improved Ice Cream Sandwich update. If your phone is already running on ICS (thanks to previously released update), you can update to the newer via over-the-air. However if your phone is still on Gingerbread, you will have to update using PC Companion software.

“Xperia arc, Xperia arc S, Xperia neo, Xperia neo V, Xperia mini, Xperia pro, Xperia active and Xperia ray”

Xperia mini pro, Xperia neo L and Live with Walkman are next up, and will start to receive their serving of ICS over the next few weeks.
