Lava today became the first manufacturer to announce the launch of an Intel powered Android smartphone in India. Earlier showcased at Mobile World Congress, Lava Xolo X900 will be available in India starting April 23 for INR 22,000.
Although Lava Xolo X900 does not come with a dual or quad core processor, the single core 1.6GHz Atom Z2460 processor inside this device packs some serious juice. In other features, Lava Xolo comes with a 4.03 inch display with Android 2.3, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera with flash, 1.3 MP front camera and 16GB of internal memory.
“Through XOLO X900, we are happy to bring to the Indian market a device that addresses the needs of those for whom speed and performance matters. After our success in feature phones with over 10 million happy customers in under 3 years, XOLO will be a differentiated player in the fast-growing smartphone segment. The initial reviews of XOLO X900 have been very positive and independent benchmarks clearly point to the fact that when it comes to speed and performance, XOLO X900 is the gold standard,” said Vishal Sehgal, co-founder and director, Lava International, in a statement.

22k is not fare indian market
22k is not fare for indian market
insanely priced for such phone!!
Its Lava entry to android smartphone!!! Can sell if they provide ICS at purchase and bring down the price to 14k…(Single core). The review/benchmark is yet to come on the quality of the features.
most ppls will reject this cause this is from a local brand. lava. and when they see that it sports a single core (benchmark says its thrash most dual cores out there), this one gets dropped from everyone wishlist.
Its price will fall at below 13k,becouse micromax a85 is 1ghz dual core handset is available at 12 k in indian market
it should cost around 13000 people won’t pefer local brand at such a huge price
price should be not more than 18k
Priced insanely…local brand should gain faith first before launching such big devices..
this post is at top from three days what’s up man after hiring so many people there is no post from three days are you serious.
i was thinking of saying the same thing. But doesn’t seem they’ll be listening. Blackberry release, other tablet news that hasn’t been reported. very unprofessional!
Even i want to complain this 😛
When Guarav was maintaining this blog, it was great, lots of updates but now its so boring to visit this blog. Removed it from my bookmarks… 😀

Xolo review has been posted by other portals.. Phone does not stand worth 22k.. Lava had claimed camera to be in line with a DSLR … But read the review and its performance is par below 3MP camera..
Price has to definately come down. Config is strong but fails to impress.
Intel found LAVA to tie up of all the giants was a shocking news…
But they say failures are stepping stones to success… Hope this proves right here…
