Reliance Communications became the first Indian telecom operator to launch a CDMA Android tablet in the country yesterday. Reliance CDMA Tab has been priced at INR 12,999 and will be available soon.
It features Android 2.3, 7 inch capacitive display, 800MHz processor, 512MB RAM, 2MP rear camera, front camerAa and support for Google Play Shop/Store. Telecom operator is providing various attractive data offers for the tablet consumers.
RCom has also announced that CDMA tab users will be able to make voice calls from this tablet, but I am sure not many of you will be using it for that. Telco is offering a 1 year free subscription on McAfee Mobile Security, 2 months free subscription on BigFlix+, and Rs250 worth of calling on Reliance Global Call, with every purchase of CDMA Tab.
“Having redefined the Tab market in the country last year with the launch and roaring success of Reliance 3G Tab, we are now yet again the first to introduce the country’s first CDMA Tab. With the rapid increase in data consumption in India and with Reliance’s superior HSD Network in over 1,000 towns, the launch of the Reliance CDMA Tab is another step to carry forward our mission of Wirefree India,” said Sanjay Behl, group head – brand & marketing, Reliance Communications Limited, in a statement.
