Google Galaxy Nexus final image, full specs revealed by NTT Docomo

Japanese telecom operator NTT Docomo hasn’t just confired Galaxy Nexus’s arrival on its network next month, but also has given us full set of specifications along with the product shot. This information is coming from the NTT Docomo flyers that seems to have been given at a press conference today.

Here are the final specifications of Google Galaxy Nexus:

  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • TI OMAP 4460 Dual-core Cortex A9 processor 1.2GHz
  • RAM: 1GB
  • ROM: 32GB
  • Dimensions:  136×68×8.8mm (Thickest Point – 11.5mm)
  • Weight: 135g
  • 4.65 inch Super AMOLED curved glass display (Docomo flyer says 4.7inch, but that seems to be a round-off fig.)
  • Display Resolution 1280×720 HD
  • WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0
  • Primary Camera: 5MP with 1080p recording
  • Secondary Camera: 1.3MP
  • Li-Ion 1750mAh

  2. MUIU M1 phone better than it. It has 1.5 ghz dual core snapdragon processor,1 gb ram,aderno220 GPU only for 310$ released last week in china

  3. @sushut. The MIUI M1 phone is not better than this. The 1.5GHz snapdragon is a crap CPU compared to the OMAP4460 (clock speeds mean f*** all), the adreno 220 is worse than the PowerVR SGX 540 plus the build quality won’t be anywhere near as good and the screen is a lot smaller and of a lower quality the nexus prime.

  4. @Amjath, It is not just 5MP shooter, it is 5MP with 1080p recording, which is very rare (you will get normally 720p). Also, it lots depends on sensor type of camera and not on just number.

  5. HD curved super AMOLED display will be real beauty, with dual core 1.2 ghz OMAP, this will be deadly combo. Is it superAMOLED or SA plus (like SGSII)?

  6. 5 MP is the right optimization for a phone camera. Higher resolution only enables you to take poster size print outs. Even 4MP is sufficient for an A4 size print out. How often do you do that?
    Down side of a higher resolution camera on a phone is that each shot takes a larger amount of storage space and consumes more bandwidth for transmission via internet (especially if you are using a cloud based service to maintain your photos).

  7. Yeah, the majority don’t care about a 5 MP camera. If you’re taking that many pictures where it matters that much then get a real camera. The rest of the specs are sweet. Hope they keep the processor if this comes to T-Mobile.

  8. @Fysi, Devices utilizing a 1.5GHz dual core TI OMAP 4460/PowerVR SGX540 gets their digital asses handed to them by devices running a 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm MSM 8660 Snapdragon/Adreno 220 GPU. That’s a fact.

    The 1.8GHz dual core TI OMAP 4470/PowerVR SGX544 will trump the Q8660/A220, but it will be bulit on a “45nm” process node. What’s more, it’s not expected until the first “half” of 2012.

    Within that same time-frame (1H 2012), Qualcomm will be releasing MSM8960 Krait CPU @ 1.5Ghz to 2.5Ghz per core w/Adreno 225 GPU all integrated into a 28nm process node. It will be 50% faster than anything on the market for a long time as Qualcomm is pushing technology forward much faster than anyone else.

    Samsung’s Exynos 4212 – 2 x ARM Cortex A9 w/ MPE @ 1.5GHz ARM Mali-400 “32nm” process node starts sampling in Q4 2011, but no one can say for sure when it’ll end up in devices. It’ll definitely be sometime in 2012, but hardly before Krait, which will walk all over it.

    The TI OMAP 5 – 2 x ARM Cortex A15 @ 2GHz w/ PowerVR SGX 544MPx @ “28nm” process node is the only chipset that can truly compete with Krait, but don’t expect to see it actually materialize until the second half of 2012. By that time, Qualcomm’s “28nm” technology will be on its seasoned 2nd generation. So, 2012 will be dominated by Qualcomm. Just watch and see.

    BTW, don’t look for the ST-Ericsson NovaThor LP9600 (Nova A9600) 2 x ARM Cortex-A15 @ 2.5GHz w/ IMG PowerVR Series 6 (Rogue) on a “28nm” process node until 2013. I doubt it will be a factor when it releases as other manufacturers will have smaller processes by then.
