Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 ready for US debut on June 8
Samsung today confirmed that its new Honeycomb tablet Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be landing in the United States on June 8, but this is not going to be a nationwide roll out. Company is making the tablet available only in Best Buy Union Square Store in New York City on June 8; while rest of the consumers will get it starting from June 17.
This WiFi only tablet is going to be sold for USD 499 for the 16 GB version, while for the 32 GB you will have to shell out USD 599. Coming pre-loaded with the latest version of Honeycomb Android 3.1, Galaxy Tab 10.1 is going to be the first solid Android tablet to reach markets. It is the thinnest tablet in the world right now, and has some pretty decent hardware specifications.
Samsung is not giving users the joy of having unaltered Honeycomb, but the tablet will have TouchWiz UI. Company is bundling its set of services also present in the other devices like SGS2, which include Media Hub, Readers Hub, and Social Hub.
