India now on top in mobile ad impressions in Asia Pacific
Mobile Advertising has grown huge in India. According to a study by InMobi, country has become the largest mobile advertising market in the Asia Pacific region with 5.8 billion impressions monthly.
Considering the growth use of internet on mobile devices, and the recent launch of 3G services by telecom operator, this number is only going to go up.
The report further states that in just 90 days, the Indian mobile advertisement market grew by over 1 billion impressions (up 22 per cent) to become the largest market in the Asia Pacific region
“The Indian mobile advertising market continues to show rapid growth due to the improving ad ecosystem. Major publishers are bringing their media into the mobile channel while brands are simultaneously discovering the power of mobile advertising,” said James Lamberti, VP of Global Research and Marketing at InMobi.
