Toshiba Folio 100 Android tablet now shipping across Europe

While we have seeing Galaxy Tab launches every day, remember way back in IFA Trade Fair, Toshiba also showed off, its Android tablet Folio 100. Company has announced that it has begun the distribution of Toshiba Folio 100 across Europe.

Toshiba Folio 100 comes with Android 2.2, Nvidia® Tegra™ 2, 10.1” capacitive multi-touch display, 16 GB on-board storage, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, WLAN (802.11 b/g/n),  Mobile Broadband (soon available in certain models and countries), DLNA® compatible, Supports Adobe® Flash 10.1. and a Webcam with 1.3 MPixel.

Folio 100 will have Pre-installed softwares like Toshiba Media Player, Fring, Document to Go, Evernote and its own App store. Tablet is also coming with a feature Music Place, which is powered by 7Digital, and offers an easy to use client that gives access to one of the widest catalogues of music. Users can either download purchased tracks and file it on the FOLIO 100 or store it on a personal cloud storage  area and then sync their connected devices via internet.

  1. Ok… I just brought this Folio 100 last night from a UK retailer. I got it home and was excited to play with it. I opened the box and found a statement about “flash 10.1″ you need to register the product to get the updates. I did this and then got a return screen say ” we will email you when flash 10.1 is ready for download. Also Fring is part of the O/S and may clash with a skype hack. So in a nutshell… if you want flash & skype i think its a case of waiting a few days before someone hacks this device and re – flashes. I was also told by support at Toshiba that this will also include future Android updates such as Gingerbread… lets see about that… Still in the meantime this little baby is going back to pcworld as the money is better off in my bank until this is ready for market… maybe this is why the Advent Vega was delayed 2 weeks?
