Galaxy S Froyo update to be available for Optus Australia in early-mid Nov
Australian Galaxy S owners can also now breathe a sigh of relief, as Optus has announced that they have got the official Galaxy S Froyo update from Samsung and they are just doing the final testing, and it will be released in Early-Mid November.
The Android 2.2 upgrade offers voice-controlled GPS through Google Maps with Navigation, faster performance by JIT(Just in Time) compiler. Additionally, further functionalities including Search in-browser, Adobe® Flash® Player 10.1, improved customization options will be provided with OS upgrade.

Great, yet another fob-off from Samsung. Fed up of this crap. When the post update is released I doubt samsung will support it….
Hanging out along with my iPhone 4 iOS update.,what can u do apart from waste time on a daily basis plugging the galaxy S into kies to check for a update.,
Was happy to get my galaxy and it is getting used and liked WAY more than my iphone 4
A little disappointing to have Froyo 2.2 delayed but I along with half of Aus are UNFORT getting used to “the wait” weather it’s for “ph shop STOCK or apple IOS/ andriod FIRMWARE”
Get it act together DEV’S ?????
What about other carriers?? for eg. Virgin, Three/Vodafone etc? will they also get the update in Nov?
Or should I just update using odin now?
Bloody hell first september then end late October . Getting fed up with this bullshit thinking never gonna get here
