Cellular South announces Samsung Showcase Android smartphone

Cellular South today announced that it will soon be launching Samsung Showcase – A Galaxy S smartphone. Samsung Showcase will be available in Cellular South retail locations in time for the holidays.

“The Samsung Showcase smartphone coming soon to Cellular South customers is a premium Android 2.1 device equipped with Samsung’s Galaxy S class of features,” said Omar Khan, chief strategy officer for Samsung Mobile. “The Galaxy S™ series of smartphones offers users superior features, including a 1 GHz Samsung Hummingbird Application Processor, Samsung’s Super AMOLED touch screen technology, along with entertainment, messaging and social networking applications.”

Samsung Showcase will come with 4 inch Super AMOLED display, a 1 GHz Samsung Hummingbird Application Processor, Samsung Social Hub, a 5.0-megapixel camera/ camcorder with auto-focus and HD video recording (720p), MP3 player, 3.5-millimeter headphone jack and expandable memory for photos, videos and music, up to 32 GB using microSD.

Cellular South has not announced the pricing but we expect it in the line of $200 with contract.
