HTC’s Android/Chrome OS tablet to cost $790?
Another set of rumours about HTC’s upcoming Android tablet have popped out. While, considering the another set of leaks suggesting Samsung’s plans to update Galaxy Tab to Chrome OS in the future and Google’s comment about the non-readiness of Android for tablet, we are pretty sure that HTC is working on Chrome OS tablet rather than Android [This is purely our observation].
Leaving the OS issues behind, on the hardware front, today leak comes with some heavy stuff, a touch screen bearing a resolution of 1280×720, a 32GB solid state drive (SSD), 2GB of RAM, along with nVidia Tegra 2 processor. Taking in the account the power of Tegra 2, and 2 GB of RAM, this tablet will crush Apple iPad anyday.
Digitimes is reporting that HTC’s tablet could be priced around NT$25,000 (US$789.75).
