Cellular South to launch Samsung Galaxy S in fall

That makes it six. With the inclusion of Cellular South, there are now a total of six telecom operators launching their own variants of Samsung Galaxy S smartphone.

Not much is known about the Cellular South Galaxy S, apart from the fact that it will come with 1 GHz Samsung Hummingbird Application Processor, 4 inch Super AMOLED screen, 5 MP camera and Android 2.1. Cellular South will be launching the device in the Fall with other regional operator US Cellular.

“This is a groundbreaking opportunity for Samsung to bring the Galaxy S portfolio to multiple carriers this year,” said Omar Khan, chief strategy officer for Samsung Mobile. “The best-in-class feature set found on the Galaxy S will truly change the way consumers engage with their device. The brilliant screen and powerful processor will enhance the way they interact with their social networks and keep them entertained with rich content and fast-paced games.”
