Acer to launch two Android tablets in fourth quarter
iPad’s success (or not) has surely led many manufactures of the tablet path and it is not just some trial thing, they are serious about it. While we know that Samsung is planning to launch Galaxy Tab before October, Acer is also working on not one but two Android tablet.
Digitimes today reported that Acer will launch a 7-inch and a 10-inch tablet PC in the fourth quarter, both based on the ARM architecture and Android.
Unlike the company’s 6-inch gray-scale and 7-inch color e-book readers, the tablet PCs will integrate multimedia entertainment capabilities and feature support for Adobe Flash with Android 2.2.
Surely tablet arena is becoming crowded.
