Samsung announces Epic 4G for Sprint

Sprint got hold of another 4G phone, this time from Samsung. The Epic 4G is the first 4G-capable device to feature a full, landscape-slider QWERTY keyboard.
Part of the Galaxy S family, Epic 4G also features a 4-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird application processor, Android 2.1, TouchWiz 3.0, 5MP camera, 1GB of ROM, and 512MB of RAM and much more.

There is no word on pricing and availability but we hope to get it soon.

“Sprint takes another leap forward today, announcing its second 4G-capable smartphone. Samsung Epic 4G joins a portfolio of powerful devices offering an unprecedented simplicity and value to our customers as the only national carrier with a 4G network and devices and applications that can leverage the increased data speeds to provide a high-def entertainment and business experience in the palm of your hand,” said Steve Elfman, president, Network Operations and Wholesale, in a statement.

  1. Many thanks with regard to the details, I am truly looking forward to the Samsung Epic 4G, despite the fact that I have always been extremely interested in gizmos, for a long time I have been looking for my very first smartphone and I did not get it yet. The explanations are really simple: each couple of months there is a revolution in the market (hard to decide!) and prices here in Brazil are quite abusive. Maybe I would enter this world in great style with a Samsung Epic 4G. I hope so.
