Devs bending towards Android losing interest in iPad
A survey conducted by Appcelerator found that developers are increasingly getting inclined to Android, and their interest in iPad app development is getting cold. 80 percent of the participating developers were “very interested” in building at least one iPad app in 2010, but that’s down 10 points from a similar survey in January.
Developer interest in the iPad “cooled” when developers learned that the iPad wouldn’t have a camera or — more significantly — multitasking, a report on Computerworld suggested.
Android, with 81 percent “very interested,” came in second place, an 18 percentage point jump from the January survey.
