Cnet Asia Blog Crave is reporting that Android-based Xperia phones may get updated to Android 2.2 from their current Android 1.6 software in the second half of the year. Earlier this year, the company had confirmed that the devices will enjoy an upgrade to a newer version of Android.
The company spokesman at the Asia launch of the device said that “will be an Eclair variant, so it could be 2.1 or even 2.2.”
