Amazon offers MP3 Store access to UK Android users
Amazon’s music download service is now available for UK mobile phones that run Android operating system. The Amazon MP3 service will put Amazon and Google in direct competition with Apple’s iPhone, which allows users to download multimedia from the iTunes store. The Amazon MP3 store offers a choice of more than 9m tracks.
Reports from The Daily Telegraph reveal some users of Google’s Nexus One phones in the UK have the app preinstalled and can already buy tracks in pounds sterling. However, the UK’s Motorola Milestone phone, which also runs the Android operating system, is unable to access the Amazon MP3 app. Some are suggesting the app is only available to customers running Android OS 2.1, however Amazon in the UK is declining to comment on the news.

Nexus One may come on T-Mobile or Vodafone in UK
Well, we are still debating about the possible partners in US for the upcoming Google Phone and T-Mobile seems to be the choice. Similarly also in UK, T Mobile might get Nexus One, but talks also underway with Vodafone and other mobile operators.

Google has approached several mobile phone operators in the UK, including T-Mobile and Vodafone, to gauge their interest in supporting its rival to the iPhone ahead of its launch in Britain next year.
Dell Android MID launching at CES 2010
According to latest industry rumours, Dell is launching its Android MID in CES 2010 in Las Vegas. Pocket Lint has learnt from its sources, that Dell’s MID will compete against available Archos Internet Tablet and recently announced JooJoo (formerly the CrunchPad).
Details so far are thin on the ground, but sources claim that it will feature a 5-inch screen, run the Android OS and be coming to the UK in the new year.
Motorola Milestone release date: 7th Dec?
Motorola’s MILESTONE is yet to get a release date in the UK, but at least one UK supplier appears to be promising a launch date. The Euro-spec version of the Android 2.0 powered Motorola DROID will, according to SuperETrader, land on UK shores come December 7th.
They’re offering pre-orders for the MILESTONE at £439.99 ($731) including tax, for which you get a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash and just about all the wireless connectivity you could desire: HSDPA/HSUPA, WiFi b/g and Bluetooth 2.0.
Acer Liquid A1 to come for £286
We have now heard that the handset will begin shipping later this month (in the UK), it is expected to cost around £286 pre-tax, however most UK carriers will probably offer the handset for free when a contract is agreed.
The handset will be pretty impressive as it features a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Official launch of Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X10 on February 10
The Sony Ericsson online shop in the UK has just put up a pre-order page for the XPERIA X10, and lists it as launching in February 2010.This is the most specific launch date we’ve got at the moment which could also mean that it will be released around the same time as well elsewhere.
Powered by Android operating system with 1 Gigabyte of internal memory and a superfast 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the touch screen X10 provides quick access to social media services and contacts via a rich graphical user interface.

Motorola Milestone Release Date: November 9
The GSM Droid will launch in Germany on O2 on November 9, 2009. Rechristened as Motorola Milestone, the Droid will be available in German stores for € 404, or $595.
O2 has said that the Motorola Milestone is all set to arrive in Germany, but we still are trying to find out if the handset would be available in the rest of Europe, the UK specifically any time soon. O2 has been quoted as saying that it has no current plans to sell in the UK.

Motorola Dext to join Android bandwagon in UK
Motorola Cliq is Motorola Dext for UK
The much anticipated announcement about Motorola’s Android adventure came today with the launch of Motorola Cliq, which comes with inbuilt social networking oriented customization ‘Motoblur’ as earlier reported by Androidos.in. But this Motorola Cliq name is only for United States of America, the Cliq will be called Motorola Dext in UK.
Motorola Dext has a slide-out Qwerty keyboard and a touchscreen, like HTC’s first Android phone, the T-Mobile G1. It will shoot video and photos on a 5-megapixel camera, and has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack so you can use your own cans. Motorola tells us that the Dext will come with a 2GB microSD card in the box, with support for cards of up to 32GB.
The Dext was launched on Thursday at the Mobilize 2009 conference in San Francisco.
HTC Hero UK launch delayed
According to the latest reports from various sources, the launch of HTC Hero in UK has been delayed to first week of August. While the Amazon product page of HTC Hero shows July 24 as the release date, while the latest tweet from Devicewire says that HTC Hero wont be launched till Aug first week.
