Canadian Android users with Samsung Fascinate and Vibrant can finally have Android 2.2 update for their smartphones. Samsung today released Froyo update for both the devices on Virgin Mobile, Sasktel, and Telus.

Samsung today announced that it will be updating the Canadian versions of Samsung Galaxy S starting mid-December. The Android 2.2 aka FroYo update will first release for Samsung Vibrant from Bell and Samsung Captivate from Rogers in mid-December, and for the Samsung Fascinate from TELUS will get it in early 2011.

Samsung Vibrant, Samsung Captivate, now it is the turn of Samsung Fascinate to reach Canadian stores. According to the latest leak from MobileSyrup, Another Galaxy S device Samsung Fascinate will be arriving on Telus soon.
Samsung Fascninate available in stores from tomorrow for $200 w/c
Finally, we have availability date for Samsung Fascinate – the Galaxy S device for Verizon. The device will be available online on Sept. 8 and in Verizon stores on Sept. 9 for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a two-year contract with Verizon.
To remind you, as every Galaxy S smartphone, Fascinate includes Android 2.1, a 1-GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, and virtual QWERTY keyboard. It will also come pre-loaded with Amazon’s Kindle for Android app.
