‘Motorola Defy’ marks US debut at ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’

Well, Well, Well, that’s quiet a debut Motorola Defy got today. Motorola unveiled its rugged Android smartphone “DEFY” at 25th season premiere of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” T-Mobile USA will be exclusively selling the smartphone.
“DEFY is designed to handle everything that life throws your way,” said Bill Ogle chief marketing officer, Motorola Mobility, Inc. “With all the features consumers expect in a smartphone, DEFY packs Web browsing, entertainment and messaging capabilities as well as an exterior design that can withstand the stresses of everyday life.”
The USP of this Motorola smartphone is scratch and water resistance as well as being dust proof. Defy comes equipped with a 3.7-inch high-resolution touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera featuring a flash, digital zoom and auto focus and Android 2.1 with Motoblur.

Motorola announces another Android smartphone – Motorola Defy; Expected arrival in Q4
Along with the Milestone successor –Milestone 2, Motorola also announced another candybar Android smartphone ‘Defy’ for Europe.
Motorola Defy is also a Motoblur sporting smartphone with Android 2.1 on-board. Among other specifications, it comes with a 3.7-inch touchscreen and 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and OMAP 3610 chip running at 800MHz.
On an interesting note, DEFY is dust proof and water resistant, together with having a scratch proof glass screen.
It is expected to reach Europe in Q4 this year. No word on pricing till now.
