Huawei today launched three new Android smartphones in India. These smartphones include Ideos X5, Ideos X2 and Ideos Chat, and will be available in stores starting June 13.

We have seen several new device launches in India in last one and half months and our last compilation of Best Android phones came in April. So, it was about time that we wrote about several new additions as well add tablets to our Best of Android list.
There aren’t many tablets in the Indian market right now and Honeycomb has just landed. So, don’t expect much in that department. On the other hand, being one of the most important markets for smartphone manufacturers, India has been getting phones within a month or more of their International launch. Motorola has been the only manufacturer leaving out India – No Atrix or Xoom still in India, or other recent devices.

HTC India today officially launched Gingerbread powered Wildfire S in India. The smartphone has been on preorder at various online stores for last two days. Company has priced it at INR 14,700 and it is now available for purchase at all the major retail stores.

Micromax today official launched its Bling successor in the Indian market. Powered by Android 2.2, Bling 2 bears a glossy frame made with Swarovski Zirconia and is targeted to the fairer sex. Other features of the smartphone include a 2.8 inch capacitive display, 3MP camera, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and 3.5 mm headset jack.

It’s raining Android updates today in India. After the Defy FroYo and Desire HD Gingerbread update, Incredible S is also getting Android 2.3 update in the country. Multiple reports are getting in that the update is live now and is available for download over the air.

Motorola has released the much awaited Android 2.2 update for Defy in India today. Available as a download from Motorola Update website, it hasn’t been released over the air.
G’Five to launch sub-10K 7, 10 inch Android tablets in India
Chinese company G’Five is planning to launch a series of Android tablets in India soon. Company said that it will be pricing them below INR 10,000 and these will be WiFi+3G versions.
There is no word on the Android version in these tablets, but we are expecting FroYo. It will be interesting to see if these tablets come with resistive or capacitive display as company is pricing them so low.
