As it is a monthly/Bi-Monthly post, we try to include the latest launches along with evergreen devices. There still can be other Android smartphones, which might appeal to you according to your personal choices but are not listed in the post below. After all the ‘ho-halla’, HTC recently promised to bring Gingerbread to Desire, but hinted towards possible subtraction in the number of HTC Sense apps to accommodate the update. While company never went official about which Sense apps will be gone from Desire or will it be just the stock update.

It hasn’t been even 24 hours since we last reported about the displeasing statement from HTC UK Facebook page that stated that Android 2.3 will not be coming to original HTC Desire. But, it seems the user uproar was too much for HTC, so this Taiwanese manufacturer has backtracked from its earlier statement and said that it will indeed update Desire to Gingerbread.

US Cellular has finally released the Android 2.2 update for HTC Desire on its network. The update is now available for download on USC website. Update number is 2.11.573 and it brings the usual FroYo features – Apps on SD card, JIT, Wi-FI tethering..
