An LG executive has told CNET that his company is in talks with Google to manufacturer next Nexus smartphone. While, HTC and Samsung have already got the chance to do so, LG is still waiting to get the opportunity to introduce the first and reference smartphone of an Android version.
Google updates Chrome Beta for Android, now available in India
Google has released a minor bug-fixing update for Chrome Beta in Android Market. This update also brings the Android Beam support to beam URLs from Chrome to other devices.
Google has also increased the support for 20 more countries including India. So, Android 4.0+ device users in 32 odd countries can now officially download Chrome Beta for Android.

CNET is claiming that Google might go in production with its 7 inch self-branded tablet this April. Publication is quoting a DisplaySearch analyst for this piece of news. According to it, this Google branded tablet will feature a 7 inch 1280x800p resolution display.

As promised Asus has released the much-awaited bootloader unlock tool for Transformer Prime tablet. Available for download now at Asus support site, it unlocks the bootloader of Transformer Prime TF201 running on Ice Cream Sandwich. So, if you are still on Honeycomb, you will need to update to ICS to get the benefit of this tool.
Google to launch ‘Smart Glasses’ this year?
NYTimes today published a story detailing how its sources state that Google will launch augmented –reality (AR) glasses by the end of this year. We have been hearing about these glasses for quite-some time now. While, there is no way to have a direct confirmation about this project but it is certainly feasible with today’s technology.
According to NYT report, these smart glasses will be Android powered and come with a small display that will be used to stream information to the wearer’s eyeballs in real time. Glasses will come with 3G/4G connection to get the data from any place along with a number of sensors to help with refining of the data. They will also come with a low-res camera to capture the surrounding in real-time and help in over-laying info, similar to what we do with AR apps on our smartphones.
