Instructions for Installing…
1. Download your color of choice.
2. You may need to download via PC and transfer over through USB ( Works from phone too)
3. Open Astro File Manager and find the file you downloaded.
4. Tap on it, select “Open App Manager.”
5. Select “Install.”
6. Once it finishes, back out to your home screen.
7. Select Menu>Wallpapers>Live Wallpapers>DROID X
8. Done

One of the most exciting features of Droid X is the multi-touch keyboard. The multi-touch keyboard will allow users to use multiple finger presses at once while typing and is the first multi-touch keyboard to hit the Android operating system.
Well thanks to folks over XDA Forums, you can try this on your own Android 2.1 powered phone. The instructions are below.
Verizon Droid X announced; Coming on July 15 for $199
Motorola and Verizon today finally announced Droid X smartphone. Verizon said that it will start selling Droid X starting July 15. The phone will go on sale for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in-rebate to customers who sign a two-year contract.
It’ll ship with Android 2.1, but will definitely receive 2.2 (Froyo) and Flash 10.1 later in the summer. Droid X will be available from Verizon, Best Buy and other retailers, as well as online.
Droid X teaser website goes live (Update)
Verizon just opened the teaser website for Motorola Droid X Android smartphone. Calling it the Next Generation of Droid, the website states that the phone has 4.3 inch screen, 720P display and HDMI output. As we check the source code, there is something interesting, read it yourself.
Be the first to discover the new Droid Touch equipped with a 8-megapixel camera, 1 GHZ of power, a 4.3" display and high-speed mobile browsing.
Why Droid Touch name??

Motorola, Verizon announcing Droid X and Droid 2 on June 23

So, are you ready. It is now almost official that Verizon and Motorola will be announcing Droid X and Droid 2 on June 23. The presence of Adobe at the launch event confirms that the devices will indeed come with Flash support and Froyo sweetness.
One more thing, Apple iPhone is hitting stores on June 24, so this is Android’s attempt to ruin their party at least a bit
. So wait till net week and everything will be crystal clear.

Droid X Preview
As the launch date is coming near, Droid X is making semi-official sorta appearances. Engadget got their hands on the device and they have posted a small preview of the device which will give us an idea, what can we expect from it.
One big disappointment from this whole preview was that the device was found running Android 2.1. We were anticipating it to run Froyo. We hope, this is one of those test units, and the final one will have Android 2.2 waiting for us.
Droid X did not disappoint performance-wise, it is smooth in functioning. It indeed comes with a new version of Motoblur, which is a big improvement from the previous. Check out the video preview below.

Motorola Droid X has got more leaks and name changes than any device in recent times. This time folks over Gadget University got their bit on time with Verizon bound Droid X, and they have posted these nice shots of the phone with specifications details.
