This was waiting to happen. Rooting has become like the daily routine these days and Android devices are fun to root. Dell Streak has been rooted by Paul over at MoDaCo.
Not a lot of details yet, but we are keeping an eye.

Dell announced that unlocked Dell Streak (the tablet cum smartphone) will be available in US next month for $500. Consumers can buy the Streak at Dell.com and subscribe to any Data Plan that suits them.
Dell Streak free on contract with O2
Have you been waiting eagerly for this Dell Tablet cum smartphone, here is the final piece of puzzle. Dell Streak would be selling for free, if you buy it with a O2 £25 mobile broadband contract or a £35 voice and unlimited data contract.
The contract free device will be sold for £429. It’s available from June 4th at The Carphone Warehouse.

The Dell Streak Tablet arrives at The Carphone Warehouse
The Carphone Warehouse is today announcing that it will be the exclusive independent retailer of the Dell Streak Tablet at launch in the UK from June 4 2010. Available on O2, the Android-based tablet offers power and portability to enable people to watch, surf, connect, listen and play on the move.
The Dell Streak leverages Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon mobile processor to combine the functionality, performance, and benefits of a laptop in a pocket-friendly size. The spacious 5-inch screen is ideal when browsing the internet, enabling users to view web pages as they were intended. Plus, the Streak will be able to support future internet plug-ins, such as Flash 10.1 and video chat applications through over-the-air updates.
There’s built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity, enabling easy access to download music, update social networking status’ in real-time, and stay connected to friends and family through e-mail, text, IM, and voice calls. The integrated Google Maps provides turn-by-turn navigation and street and satellite views, while additional widgets, games and applications can also be downloaded from the 30,000 plus offered in the Google Android Market.

Dell Streak to mark Middle East debut later 2010
Dell Streak will launch in the Middle East later this year. It will make its debut in the United Kingdom early next month, followed by a U.S. launch later in the summer.
Dell Streak screen stress results are amazing
One of the very interesting features of the upcoming Dell Streak tablet is its scratch resistant Gorilla glass screen. According to the rumors, it can with stand any normal impact. Folk over the “responsible tech blog” Engadget put their tablet prototype to test.

PS: Big tech blogs like Engadget and Techcrunch easily get the demo units, so they can always put them to test. The smaller ones have to either spend money to buy these gadgets when they hit the market or wait for the companies to lend them the demo units, which normally does not happen, at least for us it does not happen. Even after the promises we never got any demo units.
Dell Streak to be available from early June on O2
The extra portable tablet from Dell will be available soon with O2. Running the latest version of Google’s Android OS, and with a 1GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, and space for microSD card memory expansion up to 32GB, the Streak matches the specs of most high-end smartphones currently available. The Streak also has a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with a dual LED flash.

Dell Streak launching in June
This is directly coming from Michael Dell, he at his keynote speech at the Citrix Synergy conference announced that Dell Mini 5 Android tablet will be launching in June.
European customers will be the first to get the device, through Telefonica O2, while the US launch will come later via AT&T.
The Dell Streak as it is called, has a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen, UMTS/HSPA modem with voice-call functionality. It also features a dual-LED Flash 5 megapixel camera on the back and is powered by a 1,300mAh battery.

Dell Streak is now Dell 'Mini 5'
Dell has named its Android powered “Streak” tablet the “Mini 5″, positioning it as a step up from the Mini 3 mobile phone, which due launch on AT&T in US.
Dell said that it was considering 7 and 10-inch versions of the same concept. In addition, Mini 5 will be available with multitouch functions and in a range of colors, including pink, black and red.
Dell’s device is running Android 1.6, likely a Dell-customized version of the open-source operating system.
It will sport 2 cameras, one 5-megapixel offering on the back and a forward facing one on the front.

Dell shows off Android powered 'Streak'?
At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Dell this morning gave a “sneak peek” at their Android power “concept” tablet. We have been reporting all this while about Dell’s upcoming Android powered Streak tablet but we are not sure if this tablet is Dell Streak. All we know about this tablet comes with 5 inch display.
No details whatsoever on what it does or when it’s coming.
