Is this a phone or a tablet, Galaxy Note is not the first Android product to be posed with this question. Other manufacturers have tried to tap this size/market segment with products like Dell Streak or even Acer Iconia Smart. They failed to transform buzz into sales or even give quality devices.

Lenovo is gearing up for its entry in the five inch tablet/smartphone hybrid space. After ten and seven inch tablets from the company, a five inch hybrid on the lines of Dell Streak was spotted recently. Engadget, the source of the leak, also published a few images of this upcoming tablet. Although there isn’t much information on the hardware of this device, images reveal that it will have a micro-USB port, HDMI output, a front-facing camera and capacitive buttons.
Optus launches Dell Streak 7, Acer Iconia Tab A501 in Australia
Australian telecom operator Optus has announced two new Honeycomb tablets in the country. Both the tablets Acer Iconia Tab A501 and Dell Streak 7 tablets are available starting today.
Running on Android 3.2, these tablets come with NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor inside. “The versatility of both the Dell Streak 7 and Acer Iconia really signify how influential tablets have become in our digital lives. We’re excited to range these two excellent devices in the lead up to Christmas to maximise the choice for customers looking to treat themselves or others.”

Dell has officially confirmed that Streak 7 tablet will be updated to Honeycomb. It was released with FroYo earlier this year at CES. We had earlier showed you an image of a Streak 7 running on Android 3.2, followed by a rumor stating the same and now folks over Thinq has got it directly from Dell.

Remember a few days ago we showed you a photograph of Dell Streak 7 running on Honeycomb and sitting beside the recently launched Dell Streak 10 Pro. It seems now that Streak 7 in that image was running an official Honeycomb build from Dell, not some custom ROM.

Dell is finally going to launch its Honeycomb tablet Streak 10 Pro in China this week. According to AsiaDroid, launch is likely to happen on July 29 in Beijing.
Unlocked Dell Streak 7 4G goes on sale for USD 449
Dell Streak 7 might not be the best tablet out there, but it comes with decent hardware apart from the screen resolution. Dell recently started selling the unlocked version of Streak 7 4G in US. Tablet was earlier only available with T-Mobile.
