The smartphone was first launched back way in Feb at Mobile World Congress. Talking about the specifications, Huawei U8300 comes with Android 2.1, a small 2.6-inch LCD panel featuring 240×320-pixel resolution, 930mAh Lithium-ion battery, and 3.2 Megapixel Camera.
HTC Aria launching on Optus in Australia; Available from mid-Oct

Australian online cell phone retailer Mobicity has started taking pre-orders for unlocked HTC Desire HD Android smartphone. It is being sold for $869 on the website, with the expected shipping in first week of Oct.
Dell Streak to go on sale in Australia from Oct 1
Dell has announced that its first Android tablet attempt, Streak will go on sale in Australia from October 1.
Optus will be the exclusive carrier for the tablet cum smartphone, which will be powered by Android 1.6 on launch, while an update is already in the pipeline. However, Streak is only exclusive for three months, after that it can be sold with any carrier.
Acer launches five Android phones in Australia
Acer has launched a slew of Android smartphones in Australia today. These smartphones include Acer beTouch E120 and E130, Liquid E, Liquid E Ferrari Special Edition, and Acer Stream.
As, Acer has not partnered with any carriers for the local launch, so all the smartphones will be available unlocked & as outright purchase.

HTC Shows Telstra New 1.5GHz Snapdragon Smartphone With Android 2.2
Channel News is reporting that Telstra executives were been shown a new HTC Android phone running the new Qualcomm 1.5GHz Snapdragon chip and a beta version of the new Android 2.2 operating system at CES this year .
The phone, which will go on sale in Australia later this year, is significantly faster than than the iPhone.
Capable of delivering 4G connectivity the new phone has caught the attention of Seven Network executives, who are working on the roll out of a new WiMax network in Australia.
