HTC’s One series smartphones One X and One V are now available with the online retailers as well as in the normal brick and mortar stores across India. The pricing is surprisingly more than what was being thrown around at the launch event – One X is being sold for INR 37,899, while you will get One V for INR 18,299 at most of the online stores.
HTC One X and HTC One S now available for free on Three UK
If you live in the United Kingdom and are a ‘Three‘ wireless customer, you can now score yourself one of the hottest new phones on the market, the HTC One X or One S. Even cooler, the device won’t even cost you a schilling, as they are both available for free. The One X will require a £32 a month Esssentials Internet 500 plan, while the One S will ring in slightly lower at £29 a month for the same monthly plan.

Instagram for Android surpasses 1 million downloads in first 24 hours on Google Play
Yesterday, Instagram for Android was finally released on the Google Play Store. The release caught the attention of just about every tech news website on the Internet and caused a major buzz in the social network circuits. So much of a buzz, in fact, that the app has already been downloaded over a million times.

Android now represents over half of all smartphones in the United States
This is a very exciting time for Android users in the United States. According to the latest statistics released by comScore, Android still sits as the top dog over all other competitors, but now that overall numbers tell a very interesting tale. Now, over half of all phones on US soil run Android. comScore’s report shows Android with a 50.1% claim — hey, by all rights, that spells majority in our books.

One of 2012′s most talked about games, Zynga’s Scramble With Friends, was updated yesterday with UI support for one 2012′s most talked about phones, the Samsung Galaxy Note. Simple script allows users to easily remove Blur from many Motorola Devices
If you own a Motorola device, chances are you either love or hate the OEM’s “Blur” overlay. As an AOSP purist at heart, I would absolutely fall into the latter group, provided I owned a Moto phone or Tablet (HTC and Asus all the way here, baby). If you just cant stand the way Blur looks, you might find interest in this simple script that was compiled by XDA Senior Member Lokifish Marz that allows you to de-Blur almost any Motorola device.

Gingerbread still the most dominant Android flavor; ICS on less than 3% of devices
While Google has time and time again said that it plans to iron out fragmentation in the Android ecosystem, the numbers tell an obviously and entirely different tale. According to statistics from Android’s Platform Versions dashboard that were detailed in a report by Engadget, Android 4.0 — or as most of you know it, Ice Cream Sandwich — is only installed on a whopping 2.9% of all devices.
