Well, its about another ‘going to be major player‘ in Android territory.
It looks like the heavily rumored Motorola Backflip or Enzo as it has been called, is headed to AT&T and better yet, it’s going to be running Android 1.5 with MotoBlur.
In a bit of a disappointment, the Backflip will not come with any Google applications other than Maps but will have Yahoo! Search and some AT&T applications.

Evernote have launched their Android client. A free download, the app allows users to create notes on their handset – together with take photos and record audio files – that are automatically synchronized with their online Evernote account.
With this new release comes location-awareness, optionally geotagging every note, recording and snapshot with the details of where it was created.

Notes already created are also accessible from within the new Android app, and there’s search to make it less of a chore.
Saved searches are also supported, for common queries, and everything is automatically backed up and accessible through the standard web interface together with Evernote’s Windows and Mac client apps.

As we searched the Trademark Electronic Search System of US Patent & Trademark Office, it revealed that Google has indeed filed a Trademark application for ‘Nexus One‘ on Dec 10.

As many said that after all the hype ‘Nexus One’ could turn out as a mere Google Experience device. So, we now know that is not the case and Nexus One is indeed Google Phone.

The hard-working folks at TheseAreTheDroids.com have spent hours pouring over library and system files from the Nexus One ROM. From this research they’ve compiled a list of all the hardware they found specifically referenced therein. Here’s the list:

1. Proximity Sensor/Light Sensor: Capella CM3602.

2. Accelerometer: BMA150 3-axis accelerometer.

3. Magnetic Compass: AK8973 3-axis magnetic field sensor/AK8973 orientation sensor.

4. WiFi Radio/Bluetooth/FM: BCM4329

5. Audience A1026 Noise Canceling Chip

6. Adreno 200 Graphics Core with OpenGLES 2.0

In addition to all this, they found several Qualcomm QSD8K specific hardware libraries, which confirms the presence of a Snapdragon processor. References to “routing audio to speakerphone with bac mic” and a “stereo FM speaker” were also found.

Android Market now has over 20,000 Apps

According to AndroLib, the Android Market has just reached the 20,000 mark, doubling in size in the last five months.

Google doesn’t disclose Android Market (Android Market) figures, but AndroLib and others track what apps are added and at what rate. Looking at the different statistics, it’s clear Android development is on the rise.

There are two screenshots this time, the first showing the high-res display running on the Android platform,which is definitely Android Flan.

The second screenshot you may find more interesting though, as it gives you a chance to see just how thin the device actually is – when compared to T-Mobile G1.
