LG’s handset business has finally reported profit after six quarters of loss. According to earnings announcement today, company handset business posted 9.9 billion won ($8.8 million) in operating profit in October-December quarter.

Version 10 of Firefox has been released in Android Market and brings several improvements but on the downside it still does not support Flash. Adobe Flash plugin support is now expected to be come in version 11.

It seems Play.com listing for Xperia S availability on January 29 and then February 13 was just wrong, Sony has confirmed to Coolsmartphone that Xperia S is indeed coming to UK in March and it has always been the case.

German court upholds ban on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

A higher regional court in Germany gave Apple a symbolic victory by upholding the previously awarded temporary injunction on the sale of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the country. This court decision does not impact the tablet scene in Germany very much, as Samsung has already started selling a modified version of tablet Galaxy Tab 10.1N, but will surely give a moral victory to iPhone maker.

According to a wall post on Samsung Norway’s official Facebook page, Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note should get Ice Cream Sandwich update by the end of Q1. There are still full two months in Q1-end, but we have a clear time-frame.

If we believe a benchmark score at Nenamark, then Samsung is going to launch a new version of Galaxy Nexus with a processor bump. This is the first time, we are hearing about any upgrade to Nexus and it might be nothing. So, take it with a pinch of salt.
