According to the latest report from Neilson, the percentage of Android phone buyers in recent device purchases has become stagnant this year. 27 pc of recent smartphone buyers were purchasing an Android phone in the end of 2010, but recently few months have shown no growth in that number.

Australian telecom operator Telstra has announced that will be launching Samsung Galaxy S II from July 26 in stores. Samsung Galaxy S2 will be sold for $20 per month on Telstra’s $59 Freedom Connect plan over 24 months, for a total cost of $79 per month.

LG has finally confirmed the roll out of Gingerbread update for LG Optimus One in Europe. According to LG Chile FB page, Romania was the first country to receive the Android 2.3.3 update, which will be followed by Russia and then Chile and other countries. Company is expected to release more details soon.
