AT&T has announced the launch of Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE and it will be available in stores and online starting November 20. It has been priced $479.99 with a two-year contract. As a limited time offer (until Jan 7)AT&T is allowing customers to get Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket or Samsung Galaxy S II for free with Tab 8.9 purchase and two year contract for smartphone.

Google hosting Android related event on November 16, Google Music launch?

Google has sent out invites to US tech media for a special event on November 16 in Los Angeles. While the invite itself does not say anything directly apart from the fact that it is going to be live-streamed at youtube.com/android – making it an Android related event.

However there are no other direct details in this “These Go to Eleven” titled invite, but the title and the sender “Nigel Tufnel” of the invite email are a clear reference to 1984 rock mockumentary ‘This is Spinal Tap’. Making us wonder its link to a Google Music launch.

LG might release Google TV, Logitech says no to Revue 2

South Korean electronics manufacturer LG might launch its first Google TV at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2012. According to a report in Bloomberg, Google and LG have been in talks and LG might become the second TV maker to join Google TV gang, which recently saw exit of an important partner Logitech (for the time-being).

Google has been trying to build a coalition around its Google TV offering but hasn’t seen that great of a response. Company released first devices last year in October with just two partners Sony and Logitech and one of them is now leaving it.

Samsung Illusion spotted on its way to Verizon

A stripped down version of Nexus S was spotted on Verizon Infocenter in the form of Samsung Illusion without any official release date in sight. Illusion features a 1GHz Hummingbird processor- the same one as Nexus S, a 3.5 inch display, curved design, 3MP camera, 512MB RAM, and 2GB internal memory.

Amazon Kindle Fire successor to be called “Kindle Ice”?

Amazon has partnered with retailers across the United States to offer its latest Kindle Fire tablet from November 15. Fire will be available at over 16,000 retail locations including the Best Buy, Walmart and Target stores. As already reported it has been priced at just $199.

Barnes & Noble announces Nook Tablet, pre-orders open

Nook TabletLargest book retail chain in United States Barnes & Noble has released its first official Android tablet today. Dubbed as Nook Tablet, it runs on Android 2.3 and has been priced at USD249. Although some might term Nook Color as retailer’s first Android tablet, but it was essentially an e-book reader later branded as Reader’s tablet by B&N and was hacked the life out of it to bring the tablet functionality to it.
