After a lot of teasers and prototypes, Asus has finally launched Padfone today at Mobile World Congress. It will be available in the market starting April. Padfone is a combination of two devices – a phone and a tablet, which can further be transformed into a laptop using keyboard dock.

Along with the affordable Transformer Pad 300 tablet, Asus has also unveiled its new tablet Transformer Pad Infinity 700, which was first seen at CES as TF700T. It will be available in two versions, Wi-Fi only with 1.6GHz Tegra 3, and LTE version with 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 Krait. Similar to Pad 300, Pad Infinity 700 will also go on sale in Q2 this year.

Huawei has officially announced its quad core ICS tablet MediaPad 10 FHD today at Mobile World Congress. It joins the already announced quad core smartphones from the company – Ascend D1 Quad & Quad XL. Huawei MediaPad 10 FHD will be available for global market in Q2 2012.

Most of us were disappointed when Huawei did not officially unveil the rumored MediaPad 10 tablet at its MWC press conference just now, but it did reveal a few details about this tablet. Expected to be launched later in the year, Huawei MediaPad will come with the same K3V2 quad-core processor that is present in Ascend D1 Quad.

Asus has started rolling out the much awaited Ice Cream Sandwich update for original Eee Pad Transformer TF101 today in Taiwan; other regions will too get the update shortly. The exact roll-out schedule is not clear but considering the official update is out in one country, it won’t take long for other regions to get it.
