Vodafone to launch Nexus S in South Africa
We lately reported that Vodafone is planning to launch Google Nexus in 24 countries. And now we bring to you another confirmation, including the previously reported five countries.
Vodafone has declared that they will offer Nexus S in South Africa. The telecom operator, however, did not provide a specific date for the launch.

Sony Ericsson releasing Xperia X10 Android 2.1 update in South Africa today [Update]
Sony Ericsson is finally releasing the Android 2.1 aka Éclair update for South Africa today. Company’s official twitter account tweeted official statement in this regard.

LG to launch South Africa’s first Android 2.2 smartphone soon
LG has announced that it will be launching its Android 2.2 powered entry-level Android phone Optimus One in South Africa on October 26. It is expected to be available in November in the country.
Cell C and MTN are expected to sell the smartphone, which will be South Africa’s first Android 2.2 smartphone, considering HTC Desire Android 2.2 update has delayed.
