LG Optimus F3 smartphone leaked online

Huawei Ascend P6 press render appears online, may launch on June 18

Huawei’s rumoured ultra-thin Ascend P6 smartphone is back in news, this time in the form on a leaked press render. The phone, which is supposed to be the thinnest smartphone from the company (and possibly in the world), is expected to come with 1.5GHz quad-core processor.Huawei Ascend P6

The latest leaked press render from evleaks matches with the previous sightings of the phone and confirms the 6.18mm thick chassis. As per a report on Engadget, Huawei Device Chairman Richard Yu has apparently revealed to his followers on Weibo that the leaked render is indeed of Ascend P6 and the phone will be officially announced on June 18 in London. The post was however deleted soon after.

HTC One with stock Android might appear in “next two weeks”: Report

Rumours of HTC One stock Android version don’t seem to stop coming. Now, folks at tech blog Geek are reporting that HTC is reportedly working on a variant of HTC One smartphone, which will run on stock Android rather a customised one. Geek previously leaked accurate information about the impending arrival of Galaxy S4 Nexus Edition, which was confirmed by Google at I/O 2013.HTC One

According Geek’s sources, HTC will be announcing this stock Android variant within two weeks, although actual availability will begin sometime this summer.

AT&T to exclusively sell Galaxy S4 red colour variant in US

Hours after Samsung officially announced four new colour variants of Galaxy S4, telecom operator AT&T has announced that it will be exclusively stocking the red version in the United States. The telecom operator will begin taking pre-orders for this new colour version tomorrow; however it will be available on June 14.Samsung Galaxy S4 Red

The price of the smartphone remains same as other colours – $199.99 with a two-year agreement.

HTC First UK launch delayed indefinitely

UK telecom operator EE has confirmed to Android Central that Facebook has decided to hold off HTC First UK launch. The phone was supposed to launch in UK within months of US release, but now it looks like the phone might never make it to the country.HTC First

The official statement still suggests that Facebook is fixing issues with Facebook Home and chances are that an improved version of HTC First might be launched in UK on a later date, but it looks highly unlikely right now.

Five million HTC One units sold since launch: HTC exec

HTC might not have officially announced the unit shipments or sales of its flagship HTC One smartphone, but as per a report on WSJ, the company has already sold around 5 million units.HTC One

An unnamed HTC executive told Wall Street Journal that HTC One orders have been good so far but the company is struggling with the supplies.

“Orders are pretty good so far and are still more than what we can supply. This is partly due to the shortage of components. When the issue is resolved next month, we will have a better idea if it’s doing really well or not,” he told the publication.

HTC announces Desire 600 with quad-core CPU and new Sense UI

LG announces Optimus G’s waterproof variant Optimus GJ

LG has taken the wraps of a waterproof variant of Optimus G smartphone in Taiwan. Dubbed as Optimus GJ, the phone will go on sale next month for NT$17,990 (US$600).LG Optimus GJ

Expected to compete with Sony’s recently announced Xperia ZR, which is also waterproof, Optimus GJ can stay underwater for 30 minutes up to 1 meter of depth.
