Known for its connectivity chips, Broadcomm is now wants to get in the application processor game bigtime. In an interview with Dow Jones, company VP and GM of mobile app processor unit Martyn Humphries said that company is working on new age Merlyn processor, which have been tailor made for Android. A Federal Court has asked Samsung Electronics to provide early samples of its upcoming Android smartphones and tablets to Apple as the part of ongoing legal dispute between the companies. Court has given this order to provide Apple time to file early injunction to stop the sales of these device if deemed necessary.
