So, it is official. The rumors of Flash’s demise have finally got the nod from Adobe just now. Company announced that it will no longer be developing Flash Player plugins for browsers to support new mobile devices and the last version will be the upcoming release of Flash Player 11.1.

nVIDIA has official introduced its quad core processor Tegra 3 today along with the first Android tablet running on it – Transformer Prime. Codenamed Kal-El, nVIDIA says Tegra 3 will give PC-class performance, better battery life and improved blah-blah; we are yet to see the performance live in a device, so we won’t be going in to all the superlatives right away.

We have seen a lot of rumors and leaks in the past that suggested that Google and PayPal will tie up to bring PayPal payment support in Android Market as an alternate to carrier billing and Google Checkout.
Samsung to launch smartphones with flexible displays next year
Samsung is planning to release smartphones with flexible displays in 2012, followed by tablets and other devices.
“The flexible display, we are looking to introduce sometime in 2012, hopefully the earlier part,” said company spokesman Robert Yi during an earnings call earlier today. “The application probably will start from the handset side.”
Samsung will be equipping smartphones with a flexible OLED display in a rigid body, so you will have curved screen, but don’t expect that you will be able to fold your phone and put it in the pocket.
Sony to acquire Ericsson’s stake in Sony Ericsson for 1.05bn Euros
Ending the speculations, Sony has officially announced that it will acquire Ericsson’s share in SE. According to today’s announcement, Sony Ericsson will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony and Ericsson will get EUR 1.05 billion cash for its stake.
This deal will also give Sony a big patent cross-licensing agreement and ownership of five patent families.

Galaxy Nexus sports a fortified glass, not Gorilla Glass
After Corning’s revelation on Twitter that Galaxy Nexus does not come with its Gorilla Glass, Samsung has officially confirmed that Nexus will come with some sort of a ‘fortified glass’. The details on this fortified glass are zero right now; we hope to hear something regarding the same very soon.

“Global shipments of low-cost Androids to reach 339 million in 2015”
The global shipments of low-cost and budget Android devices is expected to go over the roof in the next four years, stated “Less is More: The Worldwide Emergence of Low-Cost Android Smartphones” report by In-Stat. This report suggests that sub-$150 Android phones will reach around 339 million in the year 2015.
