Australian telecom operator Telstra has announced the availability of Gingerbread powered Desire S in the country, while Wildfire S will go on sale in July. Telstra will sell Desire S for $5 a month on the $59 Freedom Connect plan over 24 months starting May 31. Wildfire S will be priced at $360 outright and will go on sale from July 16.

Asus has stated that it will release its trio of Android 3.0 tablets next week at an event in Australia. While the Eee Pad Transformer will be the first one of three to be available locally, rest two Eee Pad Slider and Eee Pad Memo will be available sometime in the third quarter.
