Motorola announces RAZR D1 and D3 Android phones

Motorola has announced two new Android devices in its RAZR line-up. Dubbed as RAZR D1 and RAZR D3, these smartphones will be released in Brazil first. Company did not specify release plans for other countries at the moment.Motorola_RAZR_D1_D3

According to Motorola, the recommended prices for Motorola RAZR D1 is of R$ 549 and R$ 799 for Motorola RAZR D3. Both phones will be sold in dual-SIM and single-SIM versions, however only the dual-SIM version of RAZR D1 is available right now, the single SIM version as well as RAZR D3 will start selling in the coming weeks.

LG Optimus L3 II goes on sale this week, starting with Brazil

LG has announced that it will begin selling the newly introduced Optimus L3 II smartphone this week. The smartphone will first be available in Brazil followed by countries in South and Central America, Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa.

This is the second L-series II smartphone to become available after Optimus L7 II went on sale in Russia recently. LG Optimus L3 II will be available in both single-SIM and dual-SIM versions, noted LG.lg-optimus-l3-2

LG Optimus L3 II features Android 4.1.2, 1GHz single core processor, 3.2-inch QVGA display, 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal storage and 1540 mAh battery. The phone also packs a 3MP rear camera, microSD card slot, and will be sold in Indigo Black, White, Pink, Titan colours.

Acer to release two Honeycomb tablets in Brazil next quarter

Acer is all set to launch its two Honeycomb tablets in Brazil in the second half of this year. These tablet are expected to be Iconia Tab A500 and A100.

“The company will introduce a 10-inch and a seven-inch tablet computer that will run on Google Inc’s Android 3.1 operating system”

Motorola today announced the launch of first Honeycomb tablet Xoom and smartphone Atrix in Latin American countries. Both the devices will be available via leading telecom operators in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Peru starting mid-April.

Sharp Galapagos coming to US, India with 3G, EPUB support

Sharp today announced that it will start shipping its Galapagos e-readers in United States next year. Company is also planning to launch it in India, China and Brazil for faster global adoption.
Sharp will be tweaking Galapagos before launching it outside Japan. The tweaked version will have 3G, and EPUB format support. There is no word on pricing and exact availability, but Sharp Galapagos is expected to arrive in Q1 of 2011.

Motorola Defy to hit Brazil by Oct end

Already confirmed for T-Mobile US launch, Motorola today announced that Defy will be available in Brazil from end of October.

Motorola Defy is a Motoblur sporting smartphone with Android 2.1 on-board. Among other specifications, it comes with a 3.7-inch touchscreen and 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and OMAP 3610 chip running at 800MHz. On an interesting note, DEFY is dust proof and water resistant, together with having a scratch proof glass screen.

Motorola launches ‘Spice’ Android smartphone; landing in Brazil first

Sixth and the final in Android smartphone launch by Motorola in a single day – Motorola Spice is a QWERTY Android slider. It comes with a service called “Flashback,” which allows you to gimpse all of your activities from one day—text, emails, pictures, etc.

Specifications include 3 MP camera, 528MHz processor, a 3.2 inch QVGA display and Backtrack. Spice will be available first in Brazil, then in other countries.
