Update Galaxy Nexus to Android 4.2.2 manually [How To]
Hours ago, Google released Android 4.2.2 update for Galaxy Nexus smartphone. About 46MB in size, the update brings stability and performance improvements to the smartphone. There is no detailed change-log available right now, but we will update the post, in-case anything pops up.
Folks at XDA were able to get hold of the update file, which can be downloaded using this link (this is for takju build, use this link for yakju).
As not everyone gets the OTA right-away, we are posting instructions for manually updating your Galaxy Nexus. The process is made for advanced users, so if you are not comfortable doing any of this, please don’t proceed.

Android 4.2.2 OTA update out for Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 10 & Nexus 7
Google has started rolling out Android 4.2.2 update for Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 devices. As always, the update is available over-the-air (OTA) and you will get a notification on your device to download and install the update. You can also manually check by going to Settings>> About Phone/Tablet>> System Updates.
The OTA update for Nexus 10 is 47MB in size and it brings stability and performance improvements. There is no word on the size of update for Galaxy Nexus or Nexus 7, which is expected to be around the same 50MB. (Update: Galaxy Nexus update is 46.4 MB)

Android 4.1 coming to Optimus 4X HD, L7 & L9 in H1: LG Hong Kong
LG Hong Kong has revealed on its official Facebook page that the company will be releasing Jelly Bean update to Optimus 4X HD, Optimus L9 and L7 smartphones in the first half of this year. LG Hong Kong has not given any exact time-frame, so we will have to wait and watch.
Also, given the past track record of LG in providing software updates to its Android device, we are not very confident even about the first half schedule.
All three 4X HD, L9 and L7 currently run on Android 4.0 with company’s Optimus UI on top. The Jelly Bean will bring the latest software improvements like Project Butter, UI updates, enhanced notifications, homescreen changes, Google Now and more.

Sony details Xperia T, TX, V Jelly Bean updates
Sony has officially announced that it has begun the Android 4.1 update roll-out for Xperia T, TX and V smartphones. The announcement comes just days after we reported the availability of Jelly Bean update for Xperia T and V in select countries.
The Japanese manufacturer stated that rollout will continue to ramp up over this month and next. Similar to other Android updates, it will be released region-wise, so it can take weeks ago reach every country.

LG Optimus Black getting Android 4.0 ICS update in India
After a long-long wait, LG India has started rolling out the Android 4.0 update for Optimus Black smartphone in India. The update is now available via the LG Mobile Support Tool, which can be downloaded from here. We haven’t got any confirmations about the OTA roll-out, but you can always check by going to Settings>>About Phones>>Software Update>>Check Now for Update.
LG recommends that you back-up all your phone data before performing this update.
There is no change-log available right now, but you can expect the update to bring the usual ICS goodies like better multi-tasking, folder support, UI improvements, better performance as well as LG’s Quick Memo app.

Android 4.2.2 might reach Nexus devices in next few weeks
Not so long ago, we saw Google pushing code for a new build of Android 4.2.1 in AOSP and now reports are coming in that Android 4.2.2 is also almost ready for deployment. Said to be housing bug-fixes and other small improvements, the update is currently being tested by Google employees internally.
According to a report on IBTimes, update is minuscule at best, with minimal changes to security and bugs. The author of the report tested out the update and did not find any new visible changes.

Sony Xperia T, V Jelly Bean update roll-out begins
Sony has started rolling out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for its Xperia T and Xperia V smartphones recently. The update for both the smartphones is currently available in select European countries, and if you own one of these smartphones and live in Europe, go check on your phone.
You can connect your Xperia V or T to your PC using PC Companion software to check for the update, as we are not currently sure about the OTA release.

XOLO A800 getting OTA software update
Lava is pushing out a software update for its XOLO A800 smartphone in India. The update, which is 166.5MB in size, brings bug-fixes and other performance improvements to this Android smartphone.
This software update is rolling-out over-the-air, however you can also check manually by going to XOLO Care>> Update >> Check for software update.
Given the large size of this update, it would better to download the update using Wi-Fi network otherwise you might incur significant data charges.

Sony Xperia T gets official Jelly Bean alpha build
Sony has released the alpha build of the upcoming Jelly Bean update for Xperia T smartphone. Clearly meant for advanced users and ROM developers, this build is in no way meant for daily usage.
According to Sony, the update build can be flashed using company’s recently released Flash tool, but it would need the bootloader to be unlocked first.

Samsung Galaxy S III getting Android 4.1.2 update with Premium Suite in India
Samsung has started rolling out the much-awaited Android 4.1.2 update in India today. The update includes the Premium Suite goodies like multi-window, revamped gallery etc.
We have got multiple confirmations about the update roll-out, but still as the Android updates are released in batches, not everyone would get it right-away. It might take days to reach your Galaxy S III, so don’t lose patience.
